Corporate History
The company was founded in 1983 by Clarence E. Williams as W.M. Video Enterprises, Inc. in Greenbelt, Maryland. In May 1988 the Board of Directors adopted a resolution, changing the name to W.M. Electrical Services, Inc., and expanding and redirecting the corporate focus in order to fully utilize the expertise of the owner and president, Mr. Williams, a master Electrician licensed in various local jurisdictions. The majority of the stock is held by Mr. Williams who serves as the President and CEO.
W.M. Electrical Services has an office in Washington, DC, within easy access to most government agencies. The geographical area covered by W.M. Electrical Services includes Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. The corporation is primarily a union shop and this status opens up business opportunities in other parts of the United States.
W.M. Electrical Services has experienced a steady, rapid, and well controlled growth pattern and has successfully expanded the types of work now performed in the electrical industry. Most work contracted by W.M. Electrical Services is repeat business or new business referred by satisfied customers.
Since its inception, the company has been successful in bidding on and winning contracts totaling more than $2,000,000 in the general field of providing electrical services to agencies in the federal, state, and local government, and commercial and residential clients.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide the highest quality electrical service, on time, within budget and focused on meeting and exceeding the customer’s expectations. We accomplish this by using our system of quality assurance developed over years of working closely with each individual customer. Using all forms of communication, we define customer requirements, develop a master plan, identify steps in the program implementation, designate supervision and inspection teams, which encourages feedback to, and from our customers.
